This is one of the finest red teas from Fujian Province, in China. According to popular lore, trained monkeys were once employed to pluck the finest tea leaves from bushes that grew in high locations difficult to access by men. Only one leaf and one bud are carefully hand-picked to make Golden Monkey. The tea produces a balanced golden brew with spicy exotic overtones.
Use 10-15% tea amount to teapot ratio. You can make 4 infusions at a water temperature of 100°C with the following recommended brewing times: 1st brew: 1 min.; 2nd brew: 50sec. and 3rd brew: 1.5 min.
