Organic Hojicha Karigane

Organic Hojicha, also called Bancha, is made by roasting Organic Sencha tea leaves over high heat. It is a brown tea with a toasted nutty flavour. Both nourishing and low in caffeine and because it is grown in full sunlight, it contains beneficial catechin. Our organic Houjicha is grown only with natural organic fertilisers and without any agricultural chemical or pesticide. Traditional organic farming is rare in Japan as it takes a lot of time and effort to grow good organic green tea.
