Tie Guan Yin is one of the most famous Chinese oolong teas. It is very similar to a green tea but with only a little oxidation. Consequently, it has a very flowery, delicate aroma, without the green tea "grassiness" or astringency. Our Tie Guan Yin has a very sweet, delicate honey-like fragrance which will linger on in your mouth after a few sips. Tie Guan Yin is credited with releasing body heat, aiding slimming and strengthening the heart.
Brewing recommendations
Use 25-30% tea amount to teapot ratio. You can make 4 infusions at a water temperature of 95°C with the following recommended brewing times: 1st brew: 1 min.; 2nd brew: 50 sec. and 3rd brew: 1 min.
